Dolly Stories - Ally-Fleur

I am busy creating a few handmade dolls to take along to the Brisbane Finders Keepers market in June. This Hazel doll is called Ally-Fleur.

Ally-Fleur has her own little story, she’s a bit of an intellectual cousin of Hazel’s - she inherited a large sum of money from her great Aunt Snowpea and thus spends her days philosophising in a great big dusty library and toddles around in her carpet slippers. She’s also vegetarian and never, ever, ever uses plastic bags.

She loves the fashions and trends, like all Hazel dolls do but Ally-Fleur prefers to op-shop. Her overalls are a remake from her cousin Ermatrude's old cotton sundress and her carpet slippers were found on a trip to the Orient. Her suede vest is a retro find and she embellished it with a sparkly heart cut from an old handbag.

Ally-Fleur has some book recommendations for you, and we must thank her for emerging from her latest novel for this short list.

Her current favourite is this book from Her Royal Spyness series and this particular book is on her crafty do list. She is also hoping to get a chance to read this book too!
